This is for you that still believe you don’t *really* have to aim a shotgun because “the shot just spreads all the hell out and you can’t miss”. This article/test was done at 10 yards (30 feet) – about an average distance down an interior hallway. Your home defense shotgun – even with the short (18″) barrel – must be aimed just like a carbine or pistol.

Oh…and don’t buy into the old story about “rackin’ the shotgun slide will mak’em run”. It won’t. What it will do, however, is tell the intruder that a)you have a gun; and b)where you are. You should have a round in the chamber already; and all you should have to do if the need arises is take the safety off, aim and fire. Don’t spend emergency time standing in the hallway making “scary” sounds.

Once you get a mess of them skeets how in the hell do you cook them?

Oh I forgot, that’s a purty picture up there Monte. 😉

Monte, the C was still active in mid September and I have another PET Scan coming up in November. If it still shows active I’ll do more Chemo. So traveling plans are on hold for now. Thanks for asking though.

    • Sorry to hear it, but it’s best to get it done. We’ll be praying for good news in November. Meantime, you probably want to stay there to watch the Royals play in the WS anyway. Gruntessa and I will be flying over Kauffman Stadium in about 2 hours on our way back to Denver, so we’ll wave as we pass over. Right now, we’re in the Grand Rapids Gerald Ford airport after visiting our grand-daughter and other family. Take care, Jack! See you as we pass by. Here’s a quick pic of the rug rat:

I keep meaning to ask you who the sweet thing is on the porch railing. Wouldn’t be the Gruntessa, would it?

    • Could be! If I could get her to wear a bikini, it would definitely be a patriotic one, like that one. But no, unfortunately the babe on the railing is an internet cutie that I photoshopped on there. Let me see if I can dig up a pic of Gruntessa…

As you can tell, since I have hair, this one is a few years old. But she’s still a babe. 😉

    • Of course we’ll bring her out. If you promise to behave yourself. I know how you are with the wimmens. 😉

Thank you for the update. I was wondering and didn’t want to ask.
