Prayer Request for Blogger Down

BloggerDown

Freedom1781 has been a familiar conservative blogger and patriot for most of the Age of Obama, starting out at HillBuzz and then migrating to Motley’s HoneyTrail and the Conservative Treehouse, then to For God, Family & Country and most recently PoliNation and other forums.  She is fine, but her husband just recently sustained life-threatening injuries.  He’s a good man I’ve met on several occasions, and he’s not just a proud patriot, but he’s a direct descendent of American revolutionary war heroes.

Unfortunately, that “white privilege” didn’t keep him from working outside under dangerous conditions a few weeks ago and taking a long fall that crushed his spine and pelvis and one of his arms.  After some reconstruction, he faces a long road to rehabilitation, and he has a wife and young daughter who face a lot of heartache and difficulty.  She asks for prayers.  God bless these good people.

He’s been added to the list of people I pray for.
Here’s hoping for a full and fast recovery. It’s gonna get tough, but hang in there. 😉

I have not forgotten the prayers said on the behalf of GFC. Freedom1781’s husband has mine. May God bless him with a full and speedy recovery.

By any chance, are there any updates on Freedom1781’s husband? I have not forgotten and have kept him in my prayers. I pray they are doing better.

        • Thank you for that, Knight. Yes, I believe he is home after hip reconstruction surgery, but I need to email Freedom and ask her if it was definitely a success. It seemed to be right after the operation, but they needed to reevaluate, and it’s possible he’ll still need to get the total hip replacement if it didn’t work. I’ll email you after I get word. Thanks for the reminder.

        • No word yet, Knight. Sorry.

        • Wait! Just got a text from her. Update imminent.

        • Well, apparently not. I guess she got busy, because she didn’t text back. I’ll ping her again.

Thanks so much, Knight. I think of you and your family often.

Hubby is doing so well! I can testify to the power of prayer! His doctors are impressed with how well he has healed. In 6 weeks, he may be able to walk using a cane! His back has healed, his arm is out of the cast. The second surgery on his hip was a success. He was unable to have a hip replacement as there was nothing to attach it to, his pelvis was completely shattered. His right leg was an inch shorter than his left leg. His body is making its own hip replacement, which is much better since there will be no chance of rejection which was a possibility with a hip replacement. It’s amazing. He has a crazy amount of plates and screws and even cadaver bone grafts helping to form the cup and hip. Unfortunately, he has no muscle tone so he’s all skin and bones right now. He was a very muscular man before this happened. He has a long way to go before he’s back to where he was before the accident. One day a time!

I am so sorry I am reading this only now. I shall keep the whole family in my prayers. May Our Lord’s healing touch their body and souls and comfort them.

  6. solaratov says:

That all sounds like really great news; and that his healing is coming along faster than expected. A real testament to the power of prayer. I’m keeping y’all on my prayer list; and I know that God is keeping an eye on you. All the best to you and the family.
