How Will Obama’s Imminent Action on Guns Go Over (With Public Compliance on His Other Actions at All Time Low)?

According to White House Communications Director Jen Psaki, reported by Bloomberg.com, President Obama will take action on significant gun restrictions in a matter of “weeks not months,” even though such actions have already been rejected by Congress. She mused that gun violence is “probably the issue that has touched him most personally over the course of his presidency.”

Oh, Jen. If that were only true…

But that Christmas present will have to wait, for as it is, Americans now face a promise from their President to begin taking guns from them in earnest “before the end of his term.”

How is that going to work, practically speaking, at a time where public support for and compliance on Obama’s policies is at an all time low? Clearly on this issue of open passion and vigorous resistance, such an effort undoubtedly will result in bloodshed if not civil war?

You’d think that such a dangerous proposal would give pause to a man who is a Nobel Peace Prize winner?  You’d think wrongly.

You know what? I think you are right. We’ll be surprised as well, but as long as it gives him a Wedgie with his starched underwear, I’ll be content.
