Not all conservatives like Molyneux’s work. But, I think, if you like Bill Whittle, you should consider giving Molyneux a fair hearing. Stefan and Bill are good friends and often do videos together. They also both come from a theater and philosophy background and take their logical arguments very seriously. In this case, however, they come down on different sides of the issue of the Colorado Delegate nightmare and sometimes in their take on the Trump vs. Cruz contest.
I generally admire b0th Whittle and Molyneux very much. On the Colorado delegate question, I side with Molyneux. I am less enthusiastic about Trump than he is in the argument at the end of the video, but I cannot dispute his points. I think it’s worth a watch.

Seriously, the GOP is torpedoing itself below the waterline. People are paying attention for a change and won’t put up with this crap. Bet on it. The level of disgust is so high these days even democrats are saying they will vote for Trump instead of Hillary because of the trust issue. Cruz has a trust issue as well and he’s now cementing it with these shenanigans.
Agreed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this level of mistrust with both parties. I’m gonna have to get a “Reince for Retirement in 2016” sticker.
You know, people have talked about the death of the GOP and the third party possibilities this year, but now I wonder if we could end up with a 4-party race: Dem, Bern, Trump, Rep. It occurred to me that a positive effect of this might be that we could end up finally adopting national runoff elections to settle the multi-party situation. This would solve the split-party conundrum that got Bill Clinton elected both times, and put more power in the hands of the voters and less with the parties.

I like Molyneux and think he’s spot on about Colorado (not to mention he’s rather sexy.) Last election Idaho had a caucus rather than a primary. It was, without a doubt, one of the most painful experiences of my life. It dragged on so long that half of the people left before the final vote. Even though I studied up on what a caucus was, I was still baffled by the whole process. I think we started at 6pm and we weren’t done until about 1am.
Not to mention since Idaho (in my case Kootenai County) had never done this before it was very poorly organized, which drove an organizational genius like moi just about round the bend. Just getting people in the door and signed up was a nightmare.
Since Idaho is two different time zones the Southern part of the state had already reported before North Idaho was even through voting. We requested that they wait, but they were having none of that (pigs.)
The voters displeasure was duly noted and the caucus process was dumped in the trash where it belonged. Once and done! This year it was simple direct vote AS IT SHOULD BE EVERYWHERE!!! Sorry for shouting.
The longer this goes on, the less I’m liking Cruz. I’ve always felt there was something a bit off about him. I try to base my decisions on a rational thought process, but at the same time I don’t discount my spidey sense.
I’m with you there, Sister. Do you remember the old “Bloom County” cartoon by Berk Breathed? He had a regular “Raucus Caucus” series of toons around election time where he was very enthusiastic about them and put them in a good, home-towny light. At that time, he was a resident of Summit County, Colorado, and he was gushing about the Colorado (Democrat) caucus process. We all pretty much thought he was an idiot, and, being a Democrat, he pretty much proved that. “Calvin & Hobbes” toonist Bill Watterson also thought Breathed was a huge dick. I hate to go all Ad hominem, but the fact that only Democrats and guys like Berk liked the Colorado caucus system is proof to me that it has been a very bad thing for a very long time.
And…………….I thought Cruz trumpeting his “victory” in Colorado was really weird. Now he’s crowing about Wyoming.
And his bragging is getting kinda old.
If the Fox News poll is to be believed, Cruz is dropping like a stone nationally. Again, if true, I think that the situation in the Colorado and Wyoming primaries have a lot to do with it.
Just exactly what I said at breakfast, LL. Cruz is not doing himself any favors.
